Champa Central Hotel became the local hospitality partner for the 2016 edition of the South Asian Travel Awards (SATA).

The judging of the Maldivian nomination took place by a leading panel of Sri Lankan and Indian judges during a 3-day period of October 20-22, 2016 at the hotel.

The South Asia Travel Excellence Awards aim to encourage & raise service standards within the regions Tourism industry. The South Asia Travel Awards is a recognized label initiated with the idea of Highrise International providing the tourism sector of South Asian Region with recognition for their facilities and service excellence provided to guests. Awards are presented to nominees in different categories on various sector and standard basis. (Source: www. southasiantravelawards.com). This year, over 270 for 39 categories falling into 10 segments from leading hospitality brands is competing for the SATA Awards. Winners will be chosen from 39 categories from 10 segments – based 50 percent on marks given the judges and 50 percent on online voting. SATA has scheduled its Grand Finale for mid-November 2016 in Sri Lanka. 

Champa Central Hotel a new 3 Star, 74 roomed hotel with 2 large, modern meeting rooms and a total of 4 banquette spaces of which the largest can accommodate up to for a maximum of 300 guests. The Hotel opened in April 2016 and is conveniently located in Rahdhebai Magu, Male’. The hotel is managed by the Crown & Champa Resorts.
