Champa Central Hotel Celebrates Earth Hour

Champa Central Hotel Celebrates Earth Hour

The Hotel will switch off lights to join Earth Hour on March 25, 2017 from 2030-2130 hours and contribute to make a difference by switching off non-essential light and celebrate the event with a candlelight dinner under the stars at the open-air Roof Top Restaurant on the 10th Floor.

Turning off lights for an hour may seem like a simple task, yet the overall effect can be massive.

Earth Hour is the world’s largest collective environmental action for climate change by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) who encourages responsible energy usage by switching off lights for one hour to reduce the carbon footprint.

The Champa Central Hotel Team believes this contribution to #ChangeClimateChange is a necessary and regards the Earth Hour as a wonderful opportunity to tackle climate change along with the tread lightly efforts the Hotel encourages for a sustainable future for the Maldives.

The Saturday, March 25 candle light dinner will be a Sri Lankan themed buffet with live action cooking with Hoppers and Kottu Roti making. The dinner tables will be decorated with candles during the span of the earth hour and then, energy efficient smart candles will light the dinner tables for the rest of the night contributing to the Earth Hours’ theme of minimizing energy usage.

We look forward to having all of you guests join in on the Hotels’ effort to celebrate Earth Hour during our dinner with a cause.
